
Dino Dragovic holds a position with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.He began his musical journey with the violin at the age of eight and, at thirteen, was drawn to the rich, expressive sound of the viola — a choice that defined his artistic path. As a young musician, he won several national and international competitions, quickly establishing himself as the most distinguished violist of his generation in Serbia. Dino pursued his formal studies with Thomas Riebl at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and Leo De Neve at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. He further refined his artistry through guidance from Ulrich Knoerzer of the Berliner Philharmoniker and Milan Radič of the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg.A passionate chamber musician, Dino has performed extensively across Europe and Asia, appearing in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland, France, China, and Taiwan. His chamber music formation was shaped by influential mentors including Rainer Schmidt, Reinhard Goebel, Wolfgang Redik, Bujor Prelipcean, and Stefan Schilli.From 2011 to 2014, he was a member of the Tiroler Festspiele Erl Orchestra in Austria, where he had the privilege of performing the complete operas of Richard Wagner under the baton of Maestro Gustav Kuhn.In 2015, Dino won an audition with the Flanders Symphony Orchestra, followed in 2017 by his successful audition for the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, where he has served as a permanent member since January 2018.In recent years, he has devoted increasing attention to teaching, focusing on natural posture, an individualised approach to musical phrasing, and specialised coaching in orchestral excerpts and audition preparation.Dino Dragovic performs on a 2011 viola named Sommer, crafted by luthier Robert Blaszauer.
